General Surgery

Our doctors and staff understand that surgery on your pet is a high-stress time. Our team of highly trained veterinary surgeons are experienced in many different kinds of surgical techniques, and have performed hundreds of surgeries using the most advanced veterinary technology available.

Prior to every surgery at Best Care Pet Hospital, our team conducts a pre-surgical exam and performs pre-surgical bloodwork to ensure the patient is healthy enough for anesthesia and the surgical procedure itself. If the client has any questions about the surgical procedure, we will be happy to answer them at any point.

During the surgical procedure, our team monitors your pet’s vital signs to ensure maximum safety. It is also important to be sure an appropriate amount of pain medication is administered so when the patient awakens, they will feel as comfortable as possible.

Post operation, our team will continue to monitor the patient to ensure the animal is recovering as expected and will also assess further pain management.

Spay/Neuter Procedure

We recommend the best time to perform a spay/neuter procedure at around six months of age. Timing may vary in some cases, and our medical team will guide you to what is best for your pet’s health.

Pets can return home the same day as surgery and recovery is generally a smooth process.

Having your pet neutered can prevent unwanted litters, improve a pet’s overall health, and help to prevent overpopulation among pets.

Advanced Surgery

Our team understands that surgery can be stressful for your pet as well as for you and are experienced in many different kinds of surgical techniques using the most advanced veterinary technology available.
